Initially, we cleared the area and removed an old rose arbour and constructed this bespoke Oak timber garden hut with granite staddle stones to back onto the existing brick & flint wall. We built new brick and flint edging walls to match the existing old wall. We laid a new grey limestone floor with brick edging, choosing Limestone to give the floor more grip.
As per the specification from the customer, we sourced and used reclaimed terracotta peg tiles for the roof and reclaimed cast iron guttering.
We also constructed a gate to fit the pedestrian entrance in the existing wall and to finish we levelled & seeded the area surrounding the new building to lawn.
Tony created a beautiful oak framed garden building for us, with a pitched roof, brick and flint detail, tiled floor and associated landscaping. It was a challenging project and Tony overcame many problems with creative ideas. He had keen attention to detail and was accommodating of our changing brief as the project evolved. Ably helped by lovely Tom, they were hard-working, tidy, fun and a pleasure to have around. We can’t recommend Tony highly enough and already have other projects lined up for him. He is often in demand but is definitely worth waiting for.
